Iceland and Beyond

With Halldor Larusson

Today I had the opportunity of a lifetime.  I was able to go into the inner portion of Iceland and visit the historic site where the Iceland Parliament first met.  This is the oldest Parliament in the entire modern world.  It was here that leaders in Iceland gathered, looking out over the largest lake in Iceland, and began a representative democracy–in the early 900s AD.

We are in Iceland working on establishing partnerships with a couple of ministries.  These ministries are doing the true work of the Gospel.  They are working with street people, helping them kick addictions and find peace through Jesus Christ.  They have a program that is successful in helping men and women regain control of their physical lives and go from a life of dependency to a life of service back into the community.

Additionally, Halldor is a pastor who started a new evangelical church on Easter of this year, already the church has 100 members.  This is a huge church in Europe.  I believe it will used to bring great change to the country and ultimatley to the Continent of Europe.

I would be interested in learning more about Halldor Larusson’s ministry in Iceland, and how the evangelical churches are doing. Also whether there is renewal in the Lutheran churches.
